Knuckle Dragging Mid-West Takes on Maureen Dowd

Dear Ms. Dowd,

I usually don't read leftist columnists because they always get things wrong. But I couldn't resist regarding Katrina. Your hyperbole and supreme ability to climb the heights of exaggeration and cast aspersions on this Presidency are amusing and tiring at the same time. I'd like to see in your previous writings if you have any blame to place at the feet of Bill Clinton as he threw away a couple of chances to nab Bin Laden. Did he read the "trellis of pre-9/11 intelligence briefs" or the "CIA's pre-war reports"?

Being a newspaper writer you should stick to the facts and try to keep your emotions under a tighter rein. You seem to emanate an almost gleefulness in your writing that this tragedy happened under Bush. Professionalism, Ms. Dowd - Professionalism.

Yes Ms Dowd I live in the knuckle dragging mid-west, as you leftists call us. But I lived many years in New York City and New Jersey and wouldn't ever live there again because of the elitist intelligentsia, who think they know it all for the rest of us.
