Listen to this conversation about Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged" the movie part 1. I saw it last week and loved it. I'd been waiting for decades for a movie and I was ecstatic to see it on the big screen. The timing of course is impeccable! What with our politicians taking us down the road to self destruction as a country it couldn't have come out at a better time. Ayn Rand knew where we were headed 50 years ago and wrote down all her ideas and forecasts for America in a great novel called "ATLAS SHRUGGED".

Actually I am surprised you enjoyed it without having read the book. To be honest, I would actually recommend against seeing the movie if one has not read the book. Yes the book is a difficult read as you can't read it as you would a mass market paperback. In order to understand Atlas Shrugged, the book must essentially be studied.
